Resurrection Life Church Installs ISP Technologies

Pastors Lee and Jan Cummings founded Resurrection Life Church in 1996 when they were sent from the Resurrection Life Church in Grandville, Michigan to plant a church in southwest Michigan.  The church, started with just 72 people meeting in a High School, has continued to grow and eventually was able to buy their own church building.   With more room came more people and a desire to add a new auditorium, offices, children’s space and a student ministry center.

Enter Audio Systems Unlimited.  Audio Systems Unlimited is a full service design-build audio, video, lighting & acoustical solutions company.  ASU is quickly becoming one of the most sought after companies by customers who desire to do things correctly the first time.  Resurrection Life Church hired ASU to come in and design their complete audio, projection and lighting package for their new building.  Tim Heneveld, who oversees company operations and designs, knew he would use ISP Technologies for his speaker choice.  “After hearing the ISP speakers demonstrated at my own church, I knew I would be using them in future installs.  Their clarity is amazing,” said Heneveld.  “I also knew that ISP Technologies would customize boxes, something you can’t find with every company.”

ASU decided to go with two of the XMAX 212 Horn loaded Subwoofer’s and two of the Reference Line 4215’s with a custom dispersion pattern of 60 degrees vertical by 120 degrees horizontal.  The church was definitely pleased with their system and their cabinet selections. The subs delivered unbelievably deep response with the two cabinets together extending to about 40 Hz. Each single sub is capable of 136dB peak output @ one meter. Fidelity is the first and most important design parameter of any ISP line array and the Reference Line 4215 is the first in a series of true 4-way active line arrays from ISP Technologies. Delivering extremely high performance sound with intelligibility, clarity and accurate uniform response at every seat, is the major goal of ISP Technologies. ISP has developed the proprietary LINESIM (TM) computer design program LINESIM is mathematical speaker modeling, analysis and design software that was more than a year in development. All ISP Technologies Line Array designs are developed using LINESIM thus providing a new level of precision and high fidelity sound. This ensures a design with proper pattern coverage, system dispersion and high SPL performance without any system response errors.

The ISP Technologies line array technology is also more affordable because all speakers are within one cabinet, requiring only one set of flying hardware. This also allows the individual components to mount physically closer together, which greatly improves the summation in each frequency band. The dual 15” woofers of the 4215 provide a warmth and weight to the sound that other small line array systems cannot achieve. The four 8” drivers perfectly handle the upper bass/lower midrange. The two 4” compression midrange drivers provide complete clarity for voice and instruments and the two 1.75” high frequency drivers provide sweet, extended highs. No other company delivers this level of detail except ISP.   With the clarity, fidelity and mid-range capabilities of this system, Resurrection Life Church will have no problem using this system for not only the spoken sermons, but for all their musical needs as well.
