Building on their reputation for exceptional sound quality,
ISP Technologies introduces a new 3-way speaker system: the
Tripower Reference(TM). Available in a 1000-Watt active or
passive (no crossover) version, the Tripower Reference
offers outstanding high fidelity, high resolution, and high
output sound. With 132dB peak SPL at 1 meter and a balanced
spectral output, the Tripower Reference will become the new
standard of speakers to which others aspire. The
high-current 1000-watt RMS tri-amplifier uses the patent
pending D-CAT™ power amplifier technology and has 4th order
electronic crossovers built-in.
This high resolution is achieved by a unique design whereby
all drivers operate in their range of pistonic motion, free
from cone and diaphragm breakup, which plagues virtually all
other designs. Designed for use with a subwoofer, the upper
bass and lower mids are handled by two 12 inch cast basket
drivers with 4 inch edgewound voice coils and Kevlar
impregnated cones, giving 1000 watts of continuous power
capacity. A massive 4-inch, ferrofluid cooled voice coil
compression driver with embossed titanium diaphragm, takes
care of the mids and is crossed over before breakup occurs.
The highs are handled by a 1-inch throat compression driver
with a non-resonant polyester diaphragm and a high energy
neodymium magnet, offering a sweet, extended high end with
extreme performance. Custom mid-frequency and high-frequency
horns with 90 degrees horizontal coverage and an
asymmetrical vertical pattern of 10 degrees up and 30
degrees down, give the Tripower Reference optimum far throw
and near field coverage.
Cabinet design is also a high priority for the Tripower
Reference. The Tripower Reference cabinet is constructed of
¾” Baltic birch plywood with a steel grille for strength and
durability. For ordering information contact ISP
