2002-05-08 - ISP Rocks The Fest
Press Release
May 2002
Clarkston, MI
The 2002 New Orleans Jazz Fest was held April 26th – 28th
and May 2nd – 5th and presented music simultaneously on 12
stages. The Jazz Fest is to New Orleans as shrimp is to
Jambalaya…you can’t have one without the other. As Jazz
Festival Producer Quint Davis said, “New Orleans is the soul
of America, and the Jazz Fest is the soul of New Orleans.”
ISP Technologies, through Gulf Coast Sound, was lucky enough
to be a part of the 2002 Jazz Fest. Providing side fill and
drum monitor systems for the Sheraton New Orleans Fais Do Do
Stage, ISP was represented by a pair of Tripower 15 Active
Three Way Speakers, a pair of 18 Subwoofers (one active and
one passive), and a TriMax 18 System with two top boxes.
Over 40 acts performed through our sound system with
stunning results. Cranking out over 133db SPL of output
level, the performers could hear with amazing clarity. With
no shrill top end to shred ears, a great mid-range that
allows lyrics to be clear and yet music to be loud, the ISP
Active Speaker System proved it can hang with the big boys.
With bands performing all day and into the night for 7 days,
the performance level of the ISP cabinets was outstanding.
Crediting the patent pending D-CAT(TM) Power Amplifier
Technology and the outstanding audio design, the crew for
Gulf Coast Sound never had a worry about drift or
reliability. To learn more about ISP Technologies Active
Speaker Systems or D-CAT technology, visit the ISP
Technologies website at www.isptechnologies.com or call
