2002-07-08 - Decimator Pro Rack - Noise Reduction for the 21st Century

Technology for the 21st Century
Press Release
Clarkston, MI

ISP Technologies has done it again! New patent pending technology, invented by James “Buck” Waller has outdated the current market offerings for noise reduction. Having been the inventor of the HUSH™, which was designed nearly 20 years ago, Waller decided to bring noise reduction into the 21st century. Said Waller, “I had 6 patents covering the HUSH™, but it still can’t touch the new Pro-Rack Decimator Noise Reduction™. By including the novel, patent pending Time Vector Processing™ in the new Decimator™, it beats the HUSH in every possible way. I ought to know, I invented them both!”

Time Vector Processing™ is a novel approach in controlling the downward expander. By constantly monitoring the difference between the envelope of the input and output signal, the control signal for the expander is, therefore, constantly being adjusted. This results in a higher level of performance, smoother release characteristics and much more transparent operation of the system with greater tracking of the dynamic input signal than previously achieved. This also applies to the filter system in the Pro-Rack version of the Decimator™. The most measurable difference in the Decimator is that it was designed with a professional audio quality VCA that provides greater than 120 dB of dynamic range for true professional use. This is 20dB better sonic transparency than the Hush, which uses an IC designed for a consumer audio application with only a 100 dB dynamic range. “ISP is very excited about the Pro-Rack Decimator. We hope to have upped the bar on the industry standard.” Said Waller. “The Pro-Rack Decimator not only kills the noise, it decimates it!”

Decimator Noise Reduction is also built into the complete Waller line of both Bass and Electric Amplifiers. With improved sonic transparency and auto adjustments in the release response, players get optimal performance without changing the tone of their instrument. The Decimator is also available in a stand-alone chrome foot pedal.
