ISP Technologies Goes Out To Play

The wait is over!  ISP Technologies has come out with their first offering of Weather Resistant speakers.  Now the same clarity, fidelity and mid-range that ISP is known for is available for outdoor events. No longer do you have to settle for voice band fidelity and a frequency response of a telephone system for an outdoor installed system.  More and more schools are looking for better sounding systems to excite the passion of the event with high impact music and announcement.    Lutheran Northwest High School became the first Michigan High School to install an ISP Technologies Weather Resistant System for their football/soccer fields.  The Assistant   Principle was amazed when he was at the opposite end of the school, in his office, when he heard Rascal Flats coming from the newly installed system.  He said, “I knew we had the right system when I could clearly hear every word being sung all the way in my office!”

Two HDM 115WR speakers mounted on light poles and an XMAX 115WR subwoofer under the bleachers gave Lutheran Northwest more than they had hoped for.  They had decided that they would cover the “home” side of the stadium first and do the visitors side later once new bleachers were installed.  The officials at Lutheran Northwest were pleasantly surprised when the system surpassed their expectations and covers more than ½ the stadium already.  ISP Technologies continues to stand by their claim of providing more sound than any other company at the same price point.  “This is a bold statement,” ISP Technologies CEO James Waller said, “but we have yet to be proven wrong on this point.”

ISP Technologies is proud to announce the new Weather Resistant line available with any of the HDM Series and any of the ISP Technologies subwoofers.  The reason the ISP speakers sound superior to what is currently on the market for outdoor use, is that they are actually made in the very same manner as the gear that is made for indoor use.  The same Baltic Birch wood construction is used as opposed to a plastic cabinet.   The cabinet plays a large role in the sound and response of the speaker and the new ISP weather resistant series uses a Baltic Birch cabinet glued with polyurethane glue and then completely seals the cabinet inside and out with a polyurethane spray keeping the same cabinet response as the non-weather resistant product.   The same 3-way powered DCAT amplifiers are used, as opposed to a 2-way system with a passive crossover or the even more typical limited bandwidth single midrange horn with response of 300Hz to 3KHz.   By keeping the same active 3-way system topology with a large excursion weather resistant woofer, dual midrange compression drivers, a neodymium polyester diaphragm high frequency driver with extended response out to 19KHz and active 24db per octave crossovers, the HDM115WR speakers have a ruler flat response of 50Hz to 19KHz.  You simply cannot find a better sounding outdoor system.

Hearing is believing and Lutheran Northwest will attest to this.  In fact, Don Justice, Lutheran Northwest Athletic Director, was instrumental in selecting a new system for the school.  His criteria included a system that would allow the audience to actually understand the names of players on the field but also a system that would really rock when music was played through it.  “Music has become an integral part of the athletic program.  We wanted not only the clarity to understand the announcer, but a system that could really kick out the music!  We were excited because we got our first complaint that the system was too loud!   Before, even the spectators had a hard time hearing!  Now the parents are vying to be the first in with a new song play list before every event.  We got what we wanted with ISP.  In fact, we are having an ISP System quoted for our gymnasium next!”  Because of the excitement the new system has brought, Don reports that attendance at events is definitely up.
