The Trimax™ system from ISP Technologies offers an incredibly novel, high performance sound system in an easy to move, lightweight, compact system.  The Trimax 15 and Trimax 18 systems offer all the advantages of three-way active performance with all of the electronics, crossovers and power amplifiers built in the subwoofer.  The Trimax 10 top box can be connected providing high SPL, high resolution sound.  Both the Trimax 15 and Trimax 18 have internal D-CAT™ amplification that is capable of driving very low impedance loads.  The D-CAT power amplifier technology offers amazing output curren, which allows the system to drive two Trimax 10 top boxes.  Tha's right, a single Trimax 15 or Trimax 18 subwoofer can power up to two Trimax 10 top boxes with all of the advantages of a fully active three-way system.  The Trimax system design puts the woofer on the floor, improving the bass performance of the system and allows the lightweight Trimax 1 cabinet to pole mount for excellent above the crowd dispersion.  The Trimax 10 has a high output 300 watt 10-inch woofer optimized for accurate, linearly flat midrange performance and a 2-inch high frequency compression driver making this one lethal, high output, high resolution speaker.  The Trimax 10 is optimized to work in conjunction with the internal active three-way electronics of the Trimax 15 or Trimax 18. 

Just like the ISP Tripower 15 system, the Trimax components have been designed to ISP's exacting specifications.  The acive electronics include 4th order 24 dB per octave crossovers, phase correction circuitry, and the D-CAT amplifiers which have been precision tuned to provide incredible composite system performance.  THis means that the Trimax system provides incredible high resolution sound that you can only get from an ISP system.  The Trimax 15 system, with one Trimax 10, can deliver over 700 watts RMS.  Add a second Trimax 10 and get over 750 watts total system power.  The Trimax 18 system, with two Trimax 10 top boxes, can deliver over 1000 watts RMS with amazing sonic accuracy and also had the trademark ISP high resolution sound.  The Trimax 18 and Trimax 15 are both incredibly high value systems that are easy to transport and quick and easy to set up.  The Trimax 15 and Trimax 18 can also be switched from three-way operation specifically designed to work with the Trimax 10 cabinets, to a two-way setting allowing the system to power any top box cabinet(s) that you may already own.

What does ISP high resolution sound do for me, and why do I need it?

A high quality sound system should accurately and precisely reproduce the entire bandwidth of an audio input signal.  It should also provide high impact transient information and it must have a flat frequency response across the entire audio spectrum.  What most people don't realize is that the typical speaker system in use today cannot deliver anyting close to a flat frequency response; especially at high sound pressure levels.  Unfortunately, most of the warmth, definition, leading edge transient informaiton, and vocal intelligibility are seriously compromised when the typical sound system is driven even close to its limits.  Most of the sound systems in use today have 20 to 30 decibel peaks and/or dips in their output frequency response at high pressure levels.  The ISP Technologies active series systems high quality precision 4th order crossove networks to sharpen the cutoff of unwanted frequencies in the individual bands of the spectrum that each driver has to reproduce.  By using 4th order Linkwitz Riley crossovers, we can also maintain coherent phase response at the crossover point, which reduces the typical peak or dip in the response that will occur with lower order crossovers.  In our Trimax systems, we use a 10 inch 300 watt high efficiency driver optimized for midrange reproduction.  Using a 10-inch midrange driver, we can cross the woofer over at just above 250 Hz; about half the frequency of other three-way systems.  We use a very large excursion 15 or 18 inch woofer for deep powerful bass and then we incorporate our patent pending D-CAT power amplifier circuitry.  The D-CAT amplifier technologiy is capable of delivering hug amounts of instantaneous current.  This translates into a futher improvement intransient response.  The midrange D-CAT amplifier is capable of delivering more than 300 watts RMS into our 300 watt midrange driver.  Simply translated, we provide more than 3 times the amount of available headroom for the critical midrange frequencies of other three-way systems.  We alsi don't add any top end boost in our speakers; we let you decide if and where you want to add equalization.  ISP's active systems provide a midrange that remains clear, crisp, clean and well defined, even at extremely high sound pressure levels.  No longer do you have to settle for that giant gapping hole in the middle of the frequency response.  That's what we call high resolution sound.
