California Clark Center Clarifies With ISP Technologies
The Clark Center for the Performing arts is the premier venue on the Central Coast of California for professional and community performing arts programs. The Clark Center offers 615 main floor seats and 225 balcony seats. The Center opened its doors six years ago and quickly became the busiest performance space in San Luis Obispo County. The Center is owned by the Lucia Mar Unified School district and is operated under a joint use agreement, which provides for a shared use with the surrounding communities.
Located on the scenic Central Coast of California between
Los Angeles and San Francisco, the Clark Center is ideally
located to pick up tours that are routed between the two.
The Clark Center has hosted many touring companies over the
past six years. The Peking Acrobats, Moscow Boys Choir, Bee
Hive, Copacabana, Leon Redbone and Leo Kottke are typical of
the tours that pick up dates here at the Clark Center. The
Broadway Musical, Peter Pan will also be performed at the
Clark Center this year.
With the support of the Clark Center Foundation, and the community, the venue has been able to upgrade their system on a regular basis. When it was apparent that new floor wedges were needed, Barry Hamlin, Manager of Theaters, contacted ISP Technologies with interest in the 3 way TRIWEDGE Floor Monitors.
The TRIWEDGE 3-Way Floor Monitor system offers an uncompromised approach to a High SPL, High Fidelity stage monitor. With a total output power of over 600 watts RMS the TRIWEDGE is great for any professional stage environment. The TRIWEDGE offers ruler flat response, which help reduce the problem of feedback. This ruler flat response means you can also use the TRIWEDGE at a higher SPL level than other stage monitors. The inclusion of a powerful 10” midrange driver allows the woofer to stay lower and the tweeter to stay higher, resulting in a much more accurate and intelligible sound at higher levels. On a transient basis the 10-inch midrange driver can deliver over 300 watts RMS. We use a 12" woofers optimized for deep, powerful bass with large excursion capabilities. We also incorporate a high-frequency horn with smooth, extended response. Also incorporated into the ISP Technologies TRIWEDGE are 3 channels of our patented D-CAT (TM) Dynamic Current Amplifier Technology. The D-CAT amplifier technology is an extremely high current power amplifier design that can actually drive load impedances of less than 1ohm. This translates into incredible dynamic impact for transients providing the TRIWEDGE monitor system with better transient response than you’ve ever heard.
After listening to the speakers, Hamlin decided that 6 Triwedges, along with a new console would be the latest upgrade to take place and he had this to say, “We find that the Tri-wedges provide us with a high quality product which will put out enough smooth, high quality signal which can bring you to the pain level well before you reach the feedback threshold. Paired with the M7CL we feel we can provide the most high-end stage feed available anywhere. We are anxious to use them in our upcoming shows with the legendary Glenn Yarbough later this month as well as Cleo Laine, Jack Jones and the Duke Ellington Orchestra during the rest of our season. I expect to add some of these wedges to my own sound company next year. Dollar for dollar they stand alone.”
